Corporate Services is a B-BBEE Company that was established in 1996.  Our vision is to redefine the art of providing cleaning and corporate services to any industry.  As an Enterprise Development initiative, Corporate Services strives towards independence, a stable working environment and the upliftment of our people, communities, and our environment.

Corporate Services is fully compliant with the requirements of the B-BBEE new Codes of Good Practice and all relevant criteria therein for the recognition of Enterprise Development Contributions, and to be a Company’s Enterprise Development partner.

Corporate Services is 100% Black Woman Owned entity with a Level 1 B-BBEE status in terms of the current Sector Code, with the specific purpose of helping the poorest of the poor to access the economy. 

Preferential Procurement Benefits

Procurement of cleaning and corporate services provided by Corporate Services is claimable at a procurement recognition factor of 135% on 4 of the 5 sub-categories on the Preferential Procurement section of Enterprise and Supplier Development. The procurement recognition factor increases to 162% if Corporate Services is a First Time Supplier to your company and / or if you enter into a 3-year supply agreement for contract services with Corporate Services It is also possible for you, our customer to claim the bonus point recognition for procuring services from a 51% Black Designated Group supplier.

Enterprise and Supplier Development

Corporate Services qualify as an Enterprise and Supplier Development beneficiary being a majority Black Owned company with a turnover of less than R50 million per annum.

All contributions and support to Corporate Services will receive recognition under the Enterprise Development sub-category of the scorecard and further supplier development recognition once Corporate Services becomes listed as a preferred supplier of contract cleaning to your business. ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY

Environmental Policy

Corporate Services provide contract cleaning, hygiene solutions, pest management, and the provision of contract labour, and we recognise that environmental care is an important aspect of our responsibility and our quality management system. 

We aim to provide services and associated products of the highest standard and quality in an environmentally friendly and sustainable manner.

Our policy provides the framework for continuous improvement of environmental performance through total commitment, planning, implementing, monitoring, and reviewing all activities and through the realisation of the following objectives:

  1. Ensure that our quality management system allows us to meet our environmental requirements and any of our client’s requirements.
  2. We comply with all applicable environmental legislation and other requirements to which the company or its clients subscribes, with no incidents related to our operations and services.
  3. We are committed to the prevention of pollution that results in the deterioration of the environment and the safe disposal of our supplier’s products to ensure the safety of the ecology.
  4. We aim to reduce our consumption of resources through the control of materials wherever possible.
  5. We further undertake to communicate to employees this environmental policy and their responsibilities thereof, and to provide them with the tools to achieve the company’s objectives, using approved methods for the evaluation and maintenance of a safe working environment through our Health & Safety Inspections and procedures, for handling both environmental and Health and Safety matters, embracing best practices and reporting the results.

We continue to encourage our suppliers to conform to the relevant requirements of our environmental management system.

Our environmental management system is strongly supported by management, and we are committed to its effective implementation through judicious leadership and environmental responsibility.

HEALTH AND SAFETY

OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH & SAFETY POLICY STATEMENT

POLICY GENERAL

Corporate Services recognizes and accepts its duties as an employer to ensure, in so far as is reasonably practicable, the health, safety and welfare at work of all its employees.

Corporate Services will ensure that all reasonably practicable efforts are made to safeguard its visitors, contractors, and members of the public, who may be affected by its activities.

Corporate Services will observe all relevant statutes, regulations and codes of practice and will take appropriate steps within its authority for the:

  • Provision and maintenance of plant and equipment that is safe and without risks to health.
  • Arrangements for ensuring safety and absence of risks to health in relation to the use, handling, storage and transportation of articles and substances.
  • Provision of sufficient information, instruction, training and supervision as is necessary, to ensure.

the health and safety of its employees at work.

  • Maintenance of a safe place of work and provision and maintenance of a safe means of access
  • Provision and maintenance of adequate welfare facilities.

To realize these objectives the company shall make available adequate resources to promote and maintain best practice in Health and Safety Management. Corporate Services will endeavor to prevent any incident that may result in injury, ill-health, or damage to property.

 

MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITY

Corporate Services firmly believes that Health and Safety is an aspect of management equal in importance to any other management function. The company expects all Managers and Supervisors to consider Health and Safety as part of their normal duties and responsibilities, to prevent injury and ill health.

Middle and Junior Management will be accountable to their appropriate Senior Manager and ultimately, to the Managing Director for maintaining Corporate Services Health and Safety standards at their workplace. Their performance with regard to Health and Safety will be monitored and will be considered as part of their overall monthly performance appraisal. Details of their duties and responsibilities are contained in the Health and Safety Management System.

 

EMPLOYEES RESPONSIBILITY

Corporate Services requires all its employees to co-operate with the management of the company to achieve legal compliance and meet our own Health and Safety standards. Employees are reminded not to take risks which could affect their own or other persons’ Health and Safety. Any breaches of the Company Health and Safety Policy / Rules will result in strict corrective action.

All employees have a written copy of their duties and responsibilities as contained in the Health and Safety Management System.

HEALTH AND SAFETY ASSISTANCE

The prime function of the Health and Safety Management system is to assist Corporate Services in ensuring the overall safety of our staff, our clients and the public and in meeting our Health and Safety Objectives. Health and Safety Managers are ultimately responsible to the Managing Director for the provision of a professional and comprehensive Health and Safety service to the organization, including the development, implementation, monitoring and review of Corporate Services Health and Safety Policies.

JOB SAFETY ANALYSIS

As part of our overall Health and Safety arrangements, suitable and sufficient assessment of the risks to Health and Safety will be undertaken for all tasks performed by this organization.

The purpose of such assessments is to identify the appropriate preventative and protective measures necessary, to comply with any relevant statutory, provision and to ensure the Health and Safety of our employees and other persons affected by Corporate Services activities.

 

CONSULTATION

No Health and Safety Policy is likely to be successful unless it actively involves all our staff. Safety improvement meetings will be held at each work location and the role of Safety Representatives is outlined in the Health and Safety Management system. In accordance with legal requirements. Safety Representatives shall be appointed at each main location and participate in the work of monitoring and improving safety in the workplace.

TRAINING

Corporate Services recognizes the need for Health and Safety Training to ensure that our employees are competent to perform their work without risks to themselves or others. Such training will be provided at induction and periodically during the period of employment.

 

REPORTING AND INVESTIGATION OF ACCIDENTS

Designated Health and Safety Managers or their deputy(s} are responsible for investigating and reporting the circumstances surrounding and causes of all incidents concerning personal injury, property damage, near-misses or non-conformance. Where necessary, they will be assisted by Senior Management and will provide assistance to independent accident investigators. An appropriate incident report, root cause analysis and WCA claim form must be completed for personal accidents. Copies of all reports should be sent to the safety officer or other designated person. In certain circumstances, external authority(s) may need to be advised. Full disclosure of all available information will be provided to them.

 

POLICY PUBLICATION

Copies of the policy shall be made available to all employees and displayed at all main locations. It shall be brought to the attention of all contractors, customers and visitors and be made available to any other interested party.

 

REVIEW OF POLICY

Corporate Services OHSA management Policy and OHSA performance will be continually reviewed and improved considering any legislative changes and/or needs of the organization. Where necessary, new Health and Safety objectives will be set and circulated to all main locations. All relevant Health and Safety stakeholders will be advised of any changes.

We will take over their management, ensure they receive all their benefits in accordance with the Basic Conditions of Employment Act and train them to get their NQF Level 1 Cleaning and Hygiene certificate.
